What is a Flash Mob?

A flash mob (or flashmob) is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and pointless act for a brief time, then disperse. The term flash mob is generally applied only to gatherings organized via telecommunications, social media, or viral emails.

Our Flash Mob!

At 11:30 on Sunday 12th December 2010 we will congregate outside Blackpool Tower (across from Primark) and randomly burst into dance! Lets get some exposure out there about our dance forms and show people what it is we really do.

We will start off with a small WCS routine and then finish off by all doing a line dance (to be confirmed). You can learn the WCS routine by watching the video below or clicking
here to be taken to the video externally, plus we will be teaching the routine at our next events, including Scottish Masters and UK Masters.

Anyone is welcome to join in with this. The more people we have the better exposure we get for Line Dance and WCS. Don't want to do the WCS part? Then just join in at the Line Dance part. We want to show the people of Blackpool and move people in general (videos will be posted around Facebook, YouTube and different websites) that Line Dancing isn't just cowboy hats and country music. We want to show people that it is fun, energetic, exciting and cool!

You never know....we might even get some media attention!

If you want more information about the Flash Mob then
email us directly or check out the event links at the bottom of the page. Our aim is to take over Blackpool Town Centre for 5 minutes. Will you help us?
